Is your parrot eating a correct
diet or heading for trouble?!
Is
your Parrot eating the correct diet? Most are not! Here's a few things
you might consider when choosing the correct diet.
Does your parrot
have any of the following problems - Feather Plucking - Continuous Moult
- Non replacement of feathers after the moult - Persistent Screeching
- Bad Temper - Biting - Hyperactivity - Self Mutilation - General Bad
Behaviour - Poor Health - Lethargy.
Most Parrots that
visit the vet have not been given an adequate diet. I would like to quote
from a recent article by an eminent vet ." The single most significant
medical cause of illness in a pet parrot is an inadequate diet. A report
showed that up to 90% of all sick or feather plucking parrot taken to
the vet were suffering from "primary nutritional deficiencies"
This is a very poor reflection on our parrot nutrition, and is an issue
which needs to be addressed".
The parrot diet recommended by Parrotcare is based on 30 years experience
of breeding and keeping pet parrots with great success and where feather
plucking has been eliminated. The products sold in the diets are used
at Parrotcare. [We don't sell any products unless they are tried with
success over a sustained period of time!] Nothing could be simpler than
introducing your Parrot to a Pellet Diet. Speak to John if you require
help.
